Randomness

It's not a blog entry unless I rant about work. So here it is.

Work's been hell lately. I missed lunch for 4 straight days last week (remember I eat breakfast at approx. 6am) because things have been so busy. A combination of my mistakes and other unforseen events caused a few big deals to be pushed back. Adding to the pressure is the fact that for these projects I'm pretty much reporting directly to the biggest of bosses. On top of that, my outlook of what I'm working on is not good (it's my job to make it good, but that's a lot of work).

Please, just give me an easy week for a change.

It was White Day last Wednesday. Got honey chocolates and certificates from Shizuka. She's happier now, because for the entire month I kept pretending to get the meaning of White Day mixed up, so all along honey thought she'd come up empty this year. Of course, to her, I should be returning the gift because she thought I "forced" her to make me chocolates on Valentine's Day (which, reminds me, I should check the edibility of those "chocolates").

Last weekend honey's friend in Tokyo visited. I guess I did a pretty good job impressing the friend, which is why I got an invitation to go to Tokyo this summer. Of course I accepted the offer as a courtesy, but underneath I know that I can't afford to take this vacation, since I'm just in my first full year at the desk. Heck, I shouldn't even be taking that week off with honey in April (details to come, of course :).

This morning honey finally told her mom about me. The reception was ok, but was funny. Apparently okaasan was relieved that I don't have long hair or pierced ears. Now here comes the hard part: I need to create my "profile", the ones that are like "Last Name: ***, First Name: ***, Gender: Male, Age: ***, Family status: eldest son...". Honey's shown me a list of the items, and it's long. I told honey to answer as much of those items as she can, and whatever she can't answer she can come back to ask me. The last thing I need to worry about is coming up with a resume so I can date my girlfriend.

This afternoon honey made Japanese curry for lunch. Umaii. I feel relieved now. Very relieved. I will not starve. Honey made Soba the other day, I'll ask her to make it again. Wow.

Going back to honey's friend. She brought honey some otsumami, which are also umaii. She also brought me the Papulon that I've asked for. It worked well for me, but hasn't lately. Well I got them, but it doesn't matter anymore, since honey's dad is going to send us the "real" stuff. It's great being the boyfriend of a doctor. Tylenol's like candy now.

I'll be more coherent next time. Everything's a mess here.

Until next time.

Update: the correct Romaji is actually Pabron.

Days like this make me cringe:

And time for my staple cheer-up music (in the absence of honey's rendition):
